Subject of the proceeding: Criminal offenses by members of the Hamburg Gestapo and by informers. Mishandling and extortion of statements during 'intensified interrogations' of suspect persons who were reportedly having connections to communist resistance groups; transfer of political prisoners to concentration camps; drawing up of lists with persons who were to be liquidated upon enemy approach. In March 1945 these persons were taken from Fuhlsbüttel prison to KL Neuengamme where they were executed; spying on and denouncing of persons (by a V-Mann) because of their connections to communist resistance groups, because of derogatory remarks about National Socialism and because of other illegal activities; embezzlement of furniture and other valuable property of arrested persons as well as accepting bribe-money ('release bribes' or 'Freikauf')
