Subject of the proceeding: The defendant had ordered the Jewish trustee councilor of the SS troops' supply camp in Cracow twice to hang a Jewish forced laborer, or else five more Jews would be hanged. The councilor obeyed this order.The defendant himself took part in one of the executions. In another instance he had wanted to force a Jewish forced laborer to hang himself and had ordered the victim's sister to watch the hanging and then poison herself. After the intervention of the German chief of constructions, he let go of his victims, but not after having severely mishandled them
