Subject of the proceeding: Mass and single shootings of Jews in Eastern Galicia. Shooting of about 700 Jews from the remnant ghetto and labor camp Tarnopol (May 1943); of about 170 Jewish women, girls and children from a labor commando of the Drohobycz camp (June 1943); of about 550 Jewish workers from two labor commandos of the Drohobycz camp (August 1943); of about 300 Jews, who had gone into hiding in the Boryslaw camp in order to escape from the 'resettlement operations' ('Umsiedlungsaktionen') (February 1943), and of 80 Jewish babies from Boryslaw (Spring 1944). Single shooting of a rabbi as well as of four Jews, who had been recaptured - partly in possession of fire-arms - after an escape attempt from KL Boryslaw, and of a Jewish couple who had accused the defendant of lying about the fate of the Jews
