Because of the strained food situation in Berlin a reduction of the bread rations was ordained early 1945. On the initiative of the Ortsgruppenleiter of Rahnsdorf, special bread coupons were distributed to members of the NSDAP only. A number of women, who had demanded bread coupons in vain, forced their way into a bakery and took away bread. The defendant took down the names of these women and handed the list to the Gestapo. Several persons were therupon arrested and court martialled. Two of those sentenced to death were executed the following day, the others were liberated late in April by Soviet troops
