Subject of the proceeding: The defendant belonged to the KPD since 1932 and was in charge of weapons and ammunition of an illegal KPD group in Berlin-Kreuzberg. In October 1933 he delivered the weapons into the hands of the Stahlhelm organization. After his arrest he came to work for the Gestapo and betrayed over 100 persons, among them more than 20 members of a KPD resistance group. As a result of his betrayal several of the denounced victims were killed while others were sentenced to high prison terms
