Subject of the proceeding: Request to the Gestapo to take into protective custody (Schutzhaft) a former SPD-member for opposition to the NSDAP and for incitement. The denounced person was sentenced to a prison term. A few months after having served his sentence the victim was arrested again, within the context of the so-called 'Aktion Gewitter' which followed the attempt on Hitler's life on July 20,  on the instigation of the defendant. The victim was now sentenced to death by the Volksgerichtshof and executed [see also Case Nrs. 1412 and 1643]. Present, in his capacity of NSDAP official, at the execution of 11 Polish forced laborers who were publicly hanged in Bechstedt after the killing of a German farmer by a Polish forced laborer
